Policies

Health Guarantee

Any weaned bird sold by us comes with a health guarantee regardless of whether it is a baby hatched here or an adult rehome. We guarantee our birds to be free from congenital defect, virus, bacterial infection, genetic disorder, or other potential debilitating or life threatening illness at the time of sale.

 

Because once a bird leaves our home its care is outside of our control, any claims must be made within 3 days (or upon receiving results of testing that had been performed within 3 days) and accompanied by documentation from a certified avian vet. Upon timely return of the bird we will either refund the purchase price or replace it.

In the event of death within the 3 day period a necropsy report from a certified lab showing the cause of death is due to a preexisting condition is required for a refund of the purchase price or replacement.

We are not responsible for any veterinary charges or other expenses under any circumstances.

Payment

We do not accept electronic payments in person, payments at pick up must be made in cash. Deposit payments that are not made in person must be through CashApp (preferred) or Zelle.

Deposits

If you would like to reserve an unweaned baby for pick up once weaned a deposit which is applied towards the purchase price is required. We then take that specific baby off of the market, therefore deposits made on a specific baby are non-transferable and non-refundable. A deposit will hold your baby for up to 7 days after we have notified you that it is weaned. If the baby is not picked up within these 7 days, payment in full is required or the deposit will be forfeited. Payment in full will hold your baby for up to an additional 3 weeks. Any bird which is not picked up within 4 weeks, even if paid in full, will be considered abandoned and be made available to a new home. We reserve the right to refuse sale for any reason. If a deposit has been placed and we determine to refuse sale, or if for any reason we are unable to make the bird available to you including our decision to keep the bird for ourselves, we will refund any payment that you have sent to us in full.

Refunds

Except as outlined in the health guarantee, deposit agreement, or otherwise explicitly stated in writing, there are no refunds on the sales of live animals or on deposits. While we make every effort to ensure your bird is sweet, lovable, and well socialized, there is no guarantee on personality, pet or breeding potential. If it did not hatch here, age either written or implied for an adult bird is an estimate and is not guaranteed.

 

The decision to add a new feathered family member should not be taken lightly and this policy is to discourage purchases made on a whim. It is not fair to the bird to be delayed in finding their forever home. In addition, if a bird is returned to us, we invest our time ensuring the bird is still healthy, has not had its temperament affected, vetting new homes, and covering the expense of having the bird tested to ensure it has not been exposed to avian diseases.
