Please see below for our standard sales policies and contact us with any questions.

Payment

We accept cash, CashApp, and Zelle. 

Deposits

To reserve an unweaned baby, a deposit is required, which will be applied towards the purchase price. We then take that specific baby off of the market, therefore deposits are non-transferable and non-refundable.

If a deposit has been placed and we determine to refuse sale, or if for any reason we are unable to make the bird available to you, including our decision to keep the bird for ourselves, we will refund any payment that you have sent to us in full.

Pick-up

We will notify you 7 days in advance of when your bird will be weaned to schedule a date and time for pick-up. We kindly ask that you pick up the bird as soon as it is weaned. If you need more time due to scheduling conflicts we will work with you to accommodate your needs. However, if the bird is not picked up within 7 days of weaning without prior written agreement, we will consider the bird abandoned and available for rehoming. It is not fair to the bird to be delayed in finding its forever home.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the bird is transported safely and securely in a suitable carrier that is weather-appropriate and designed to protect the bird during transit.

Health Guarantee

We encourage you to arrange for your bird to be seen by an avian veterinarian within 3 days of bringing it home. If any testing conducted during this time reveals a pre-existing, untreatable condition that significantly impacts the bird’s health or lifespan, you must contact us immediately with the veterinary records.

Claims must be made within 3 days of receiving the bird (or upon receiving results of testing that had been performed within 3 days) and supported by documentation from a certified avian vet. If verified, and upon timely return of the bird, we will offer a refund of the purchase price or an equitable replacement.

In the unfortunate event of death within the 3-day period, a necropsy report from a certified lab confirming that the cause of death is due to a pre-existing condition is required for a refund or replacement.

 

Please note: We are not responsible for any veterinary fees or other expenses incurred by the buyer at any point and this guarantee does not cover health issues identified after the initial 72-hour period. Due to the fact that unweaned babies require special care from the new owner there are no health guarantees on unweaned babies under any circumstances. 

Refunds

Except as outlined in the health guarantee, deposit agreement, or otherwise explicitly stated in writing, there are no refunds on deposits or on the sales of live animals even if you are no longer able to keep the bird and surrender it back to us. While we make every effort to ensure your bird is sweet, lovable, and well socialized, there is no guarantee on personality, pet or breeding potential. 

 

The decision to add a new feathered family member should not be taken lightly and this policy is to discourage purchases made on a whim.
